All about Charms in Counter-Strike 2. Is it worth investing in new cosmetics from Valve?

Charms in Counter-Strike 2

Rumors about the appearance of charms in Counter-Strike have been circulating for several years, even during the times of CS:GO. Data miners from time to time found lines of code related to these cosmetic items. But this has finally become a reality, a year after the release of Counter-Strike 2. There was no doubt that Valve would lose such a profitable vein, charms have long been present in all popular shooters, and now their time has come in CS2. In this article, we will share all the necessary information about the charms that appeared in the Armory Pass.

What charms are in Counter-Strike 2 now

At the release of charms, Valve became generous and presented two collections of cosmetic items at once – “Missing Link” and “Small Arms”.

The first of these are miniature people in the form of “sausages”. In the “Missing Link” collection, you will find both agents from Counter-Strike and various creatures: cats, chicken, sauces and unusual monsters. It is worth noting that one of the most valuable lots here is the Charm | Hot Howl, which is another version of the iconic M4A4 | Howl.

Will charms be expensive?

The charms themselves do not look like an expensive item. Most likely, their cost will stop at the level of stripes and not the most expensive agents. Of course, the most important charms will be Covert quality, and the most expensive will predictably be the “Hot Howl”.

The cost of charms will be significantly lowered by a new paid tool from Valve – Charms Separator Kit. It allows you to remove charms from weapons and hang them on another skin. When buying charms in the Armory Pass, you get three of these tools for free, and the rest will have to be purchased for $0.99.

Charms patterns

It was a big surprise for the entire community that charms, like all skins in Counter-Strike, have patterns. The same charms can get a different color depending on this parameter. Most likely, this will affect the cost of specific items, but not that much. After all, they can still be removed from weapons, and the charms themselves cost only three Armory Pass stars. Patterns should be taken into account when buying or selling Classified and Covert rarity charms, and for the rest, this parameter is unlikely to significantly affect their cost.

It is difficult to draw a final conclusion about the appearance of charms in Counter-Strike 2, they have not even appeared on the marketplace yet due to a 7-day ban. This is an interesting way to customize weapons, but you should definitely not expect high prices for them, even the rarest charms are unlikely to have a high cost due to the ability to remove them from weapons and hang them on other devices.
